Charles Wayne Aiken, Jr.

Mr. Charles Wayne Aiken, Jr., age 56, of Lowgap, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 10, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Charles was born in Prince Georges County, Maryland, on March 10, 1969, to Charles Wayne Aiken, Sr. and the late Diana Lynn Vyse Aiken. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, sibling and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Charles was a longtime granite stone cutter at the North Carolina Quarry. Left to cherish Charles’s memory is his loving wife, Gina Massie Aiken; Children, Justin Aiken, Tyler Conner (Autumn), Jessica Aiken (Ryan Calvert), Lauren Conner, Danny Conner; grandchildren, Aaliyah Conner, Alauna Baker, Lily Conner, Malaki Conner, Maleysia Conner, Brooklyn Calvert, Bentley Calvert, Blake Conner, Leo Conner, Aden Conner; Siblings, Terri Carta (Mike), Kenneth Aiken (Kelly); Nieces and Nephews, Shannon Cole (Hunter), Mikie Carta, Sydney Aiken (Chris), Madeline Aiken, Olivia Aiken; Aunt, Sandy Rhodes. In addition to his mother, Charles was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Helen Fields, June Cumerlato, Wilbert Vyse, Bob Fields; Uncles, Larry Moody, Danny Moody. A funeral service for Charles will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with the Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church in Lowgap. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 1:30 PM until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
