Charles "Wayne" Chadwell

Charles Wayne Chadwell, 70, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

Charles was born in Portsmouth, VA, January 27, 1956. He grew up in Meridian, MS. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Computer Science, he worked for Texas Instruments in the Dallas, TX area in their government division.

He was an avid reader, loved movies, was a science fiction fan, and enjoyed a wide range of music. He loved spending time with his two nieces. After moving to Mount Airy, he also enjoyed time with his dog-nephews, Kenneth and Roscoe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Chadwell and Pauline Dallas Chadwell. He leaves behind two younger sisters, Belinda Chadwell Brown (Gene) and Rhodonna Chadwell Bourne (Dick) and two nieces, Heather Brown and April Brown Fleming (James).
