Charles Samuel "Chuck" Childress, Jr

Mr. Charles Samuel "Chuck" Childress, Jr., 35, of Beulah passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20, 2011. He was born in Grayson County, VA on January 26, 1976 to Charles Samuel Childress, Sr. and Patricia Kay Jackson Smith. Mr. Childress was employed by Glass Paving and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Willard Childress, of the home; a son, Matthew Samuel Childress of the home; his father Charles Samuel Childress, Sr.; his mother and step-father, Patricia Kay Jackson Smith and John Henry Smith all of Beulah; many special friends, including Steve Webber, C.J. Johnson, Donnie Dupree, Brent Jarrell and Carl Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Fred Willard Thomas, Sr. and his grandparents, Joseph Columbus "Pa" Smith and Ida Vivian "Ma" Smith. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Maple Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Carl Taylor, Rev. Lloyd Taylor and speaker Steve Webber. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 pm until the time of the service and after the service at the home of his niece, Mary Talbet 117 Charles Way Dobson.
