Charles Edward East

Mr. Charles Edward East, age 54 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away at his home on December 16, 2025. He was born in Patrick County on December 28, 1970. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Junior East; grandparents, Sam and Gracie East, William and Helen Vipperman, and Charles Henry Murray; uncles, Billy Grey Murray, Kenneth Allen Murray, and two infant uncles. Charles was a 1990 graduate of Patrick County High School. He enjoyed playing video games and fishing. He had worked several years for Bassett Furniture, Stanley Furniture, Vaughan Furniture, and Hopkins Lumber. Charles will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Left to cherish the memories of Charles East are his mother, Frances Kay Murray East; brother and sister-in-law, James Timothy and Elizabeth East; nephew, James Dakota East; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Rodney Gunter, Judy Murray, Debbie Brackins, Kyle and Donna Murray, and Charles Henry Murray; and several cousins.

The funeral service for Charles will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Abiding Grace Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jamie Stokes and Pastor Wade Edwards officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Hooker Family Cemetery in Meadows of Dan.
