Charles Marion

Mr. Alfred Charles Marion, 83 of Fancy Gap, VA, passed away at his home Sunday afternoon April 27, 2025. He was born March 6, 1942, in Carroll County to the late Rufus Monroe Marion and Lou Emeline Tate Marion. Charles retired from Ararat Rock Corporation after 40 years of service. Mr. Marion is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Juanita Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Ellen Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Barry Jones; grandchildren, Tiffany Sizemore, Brandon Jones, Breona Jones, Brent Jones, Chris Marion, Nakayla Marion, Jasmine Marion, and Ashleigh Marion; great grandchildren, Conner Jones, Elizabeth Marion, and Chris Marion, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Marshall and Mike Manning; and several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Faye Marion Sizemore and husband Gerry; granddaughter, Brittany Marion; sister, Sarah Francis Cockerham; and by twin infant brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 1, 2025, at 11:00am in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor Anthony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 -11:00am. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
