Charlie Altizer, Jr.

Mr. Charlie Altizer, Jr., 81, of Cana, VA, passed away at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Sunday, May 8, 2022.  He was born August 7, 1940, in Wyoming County, WV, to the late Charlie Altizer, Sr. and Elva Graham Altizer.  Mr. Altizer proudly served our country in the US Army and was an avid sports fan.  Pawpaw loved to hang out with the family and loved to play poker.  Left to cherish his memories are a daughter and son-in-law, Laurie Ann Flores and Armando; two sons, Richard Earl Altizer and wife Alicia, and Edwin Bart Altizer and fiancé Amanda; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Joyce Stewart and husband Cecil, and Louise Carothers; brothers, Frazier Altizer, George Altizer and wife Sissy, and Roger Altizer; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Altizer was preceded in death by a son, Kennedy Bret Altizer; and a sister, Juanita Lester.  There are no formal services planned for Pawpaw at this time.
