Mr. Charlie Edward McCormick, Jr., 75 of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Monday August 11, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born November 16, 1950, in Yadkin County to the late Charlie Edward McCormick, Sr. and Pauline Brown McCormick. He loved horses and had been riding since he was 4 years old. Charlie was a hardworking man who loved to do wood working, gardening, and flat foot dancing. Mr. McCormick was a member of Hatcher’s Chapel Community Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 12 years, Brenda Jo Moxley McCormick of the home; stepson, Ricky and Debbie Allen; stepdaughters, Donna and Kyle Murray, Lisa Randall, and Stephanie and Garry Howell; step grandchildren, Robert and Jessica Murray, Trent Murray, Lee Allen, Brandy Edwards and fiancé Jeremy Hodge, Elizabeth and Shane Simons, and Victoria Jolly; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Brinkley; and his fur babies, Rowdy and Angel. In addition to his parents, Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Gladys Tucker Allen McCormick. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 16, 2025, at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phillip Adams and Pastor Charles Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Willis Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody’s from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday evening August 15, 2025.
