Cheryl Creed Talarico

Mrs. Cheryl Creed Talarico, age 77 of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday November 14, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born February 11, 1946, in Surry County to the late Ruben Martin Creed and Una Hall Creed.  She was a graduate of Pfeiffer College and the University of Tennessee with her Master’s in Chemistry.  Mrs. Talarico taught chemistry in various community colleges and at N. Forsyth High School.  She previously owned and operated an analytic chemistry lab.  Her most favorite thing to do was to be mom to everyone and spend time with her grandchildren and give them all of the love she could give.  Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Jennifer Talarico; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Julie Talarico; grandchildren, Pete Thornton, Andrew Talarico, Kyle Talarico, Margot Deatherage, and Meredith Pike; sister, Peggy Shouse; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Cheri Creed; and a nephew, Michael Creed.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Talarico was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Camillo Talarico; and a nephew, Eddie Shouse.  Per Cheryl’s request, there will be no services.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
