Clara Elizabeth Goad Clement

Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Goad Clement, 91, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Clement was born June 4, 1917, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Bailey and Elizabeth Gardner Goad. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of Buffalo Mountain Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her devoted husband, Harry Clement of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Pam Clement of Dobson; grandchildren, Kendra Eldridge and husband, Jason, Mackenzie Whitaker, and Tyson Clement; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Whitaker. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Oakdale Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. June Haislip. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 until the hour of the service at Moody Funeral Home.
