Claude Leon Martin

Mr. Claude Leon Martin, age 60, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on July 30, 1963, in Surry County to Geraldine Benge Martin and the late Claude Martin. He was a joy to be around, a light that could brighten the room and a smile that would make your day. Mr. Martin had a strong passion of the fire service, fulfilling his dream of becoming an honorary fireman for many years with the Four Way Volunteer Fire Department. Left to cherish his memory are his sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda Romeo (Vinny); brother, David Martin; sister-in-law, Judy Martin, several nieces, and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Martin. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 2 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with service conducted by Rev. Tim Collins. Burial will follow at Salem Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 12:30 until the time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 105 N Crutchfield St, Unit 2, Dobson, NC 27017.
