Mr. Claude Turner "C.T." Puckett, 55, of 805 North South Street, Mount Airy, passed away Monday afternoon, May 12, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Puckett was born July 30, 1958, in Surry County, the son of the late Leonard Moscoe and Eva Euelala Puckett Puckett. C.T. was formerly employed at Debbie's Staffing in Winston-Salem and was a member of the Christian faith. He also volunteered with the Mount Airy Rescue Squad in the early 80s and was an avid UNC Tar Heel fan. He is survived by a brother, David Moscoe Puckett of Mount Airy; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt and uncle, Frankie and Clyde Lawson of Stuart, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Gail Westmoreland and Claudine Ayers; and a brother, Leonard Caudle "Junior" Puckett. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Jacob Flippen officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
