Claude William "C.W." Puckett

Mr. Claude William “C.W.” Puckett, age 73, of Stuart, Virginia departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Patrick County on March 20, 1950, to the late William “David” Puckett and the late Lorene Booth Puckett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ethel Cox. “C.W.” was loving, kind, giving, and always ready to party. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially enjoyed being called “Papa W” and “Pop Pop.” Mr. Puckett will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish the special memories of Mr. “C.W.” Puckett are his loving wife of 49 years, Katina Cox Puckett, of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gretchen Lawson (Scott), Amy Reed (David), Katona McMillian (Austin); seven grandchildren, Nicholas Knight, Holden Reed, Christina Taylor, Andrew Reed, Adian Lacy, Watson McMillian, Amelia McMillian; one brother, Thomas Puckett; several special aunts, nieces, nephews, close friends, and special nurses, Katleyn Washington and Bella Reed.

A Celebration of Life memorial service for Mr. “C.W.” Puckett will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart. A memorial visitation will be held two hours prior to the memorial service at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations in memory of “C.W.” may be made to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 129 Veterans Drive, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.
