Cole Douglas Glasco

Mr. Cole Douglas Glasco, 24, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday morning, December 13, 2017. Cole was born February 17, 1993, in Surry County, to Robert Douglas and Christy Suzette Marsh Glasco. Cole graduated from North Surry High School in 2012, and he graduated from Surry Community College with a degree in construction management. He later earned an electrical lineman degree from Forsyth Technical Community College. He worked as an electrician for his grandfather’s business, Phil Marsh Electric, alongside his grandfather and uncle, John Marsh. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sarah Glasco of Mount Airy; his grandparents, Phil and Peggy Marsh of Mount Airy and Robert Glasco of Galax, VA; and many, special friends and extended family. Cole was preceded in death by his grandparents, Christine Towe Marsh, who he affectionately called “Nana,” Nancy Glasco, and Helen and Wally Johnson; and two special great-grandmothers, Carolyn Marsh and Naomi Hawks. A service of worship and a celebration of Cole’s life will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Brother Ralph Sproles, Phil Marsh, and Barry Bickerstaff officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sheriff Atkinson’s “Give A Kid A Christmas,” P.O.
