Connie Sue Henley Atkins

Mrs. Connie Sue Henley Atkins, age 71, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  She was born on June 15, 1952 in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late Jimmy and Mary Bailey Henley.  Left to cherish her memory are sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Edmonds (Christi), Timmy Pack; daughter, Angela Beck, and fiancé Jeremy Shelton; grandchildren, Andrew Edmonds, Adriene Ballard, Samantha Edmonds, Alison Smith, Donald Ray Beck Jr, Destiny Jones as well as twelve great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Freeman (Lonnie), Jean Shores (Henry); brother and sister-in-law, Danny Henley (Angela).  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Atkins was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Nance; brothers, Jimmy Ray Henley, and infant brother, David Henley.   A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Welcome View Baptist Church Cemetery in Dobson with service conducted by Rev. Tommy Shelton.  There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
