Cynthia Brent

Cynthia Brent, 69, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. She was born on October 7, 1956, to Christine Stoneman. Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved mother and her brother, Dwayne Stoneman. She is lovingly remembered by her family, including her brother, Don Stoneman; her son, Kevin McGaha; her daughter, Shannon Douglas; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan and David Douglas; her great-grandchild, Jett Douglas; and sister, Peggy Pell. Cynthia was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She had a passion for traveling and loved exploring new places, always bringing back stories and memories to share with those she loved. Known for her strong work ethic, Cynthia was a dedicated and hardworking individual who took pride in everything she did. In her quieter moments, she found peace and happiness in gardening, nurturing both plants and the people around her with equal care. Cynthia will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cynthia is preceded in death by a sister, Bettylane Allen. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 from 4:00 ~ 6:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
