Dallas Junior Tate

Mr. Dallas Junior Tate, 88, of Mt. Airy passed away at Northern Regional Hospital, January 16, 2021.  He was born in Surry County, November 13, 1932, to the late Charles Vance and Thelma Lucille Bowman Tate.  Mr. Tate retired from making furniture after 55 years of service.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Annie Faye Edwards Tate; his children, Sylvia Tate, Lucille Wimbly and husband Samuel, Cathy Tate, Gail Collins, Sandra Fay Potts, Nelda Joy Northly, Charles Tate, Lisa Lorraine Tate, Maude Jeanette Tate, Mary Denise Tate, and Misty Tate; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and an aunt Maude Bryant.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Tate was preceded in death by three grandchildren; a sister Betty Lou Moore; and a brother Roy Lee Tate.  There will not be any formal services at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
