Daniel Wayne Reynolds

Daniel Wayne “Danny” Reynolds, 72, of Patrick Springs, Virginia, passed peacefully on September 19, 2026, at Blue Ridge Health and Rehab in Stuart, Virginia.

Danny leaves behind his longtime partner and best friend, Mary McAlexander. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Daisy, whom he loved to talk to and whose antics often made him laugh.

Danny was a gentle soul who found peace and solace sitting beside the water with a fishing pole in his hand. Some of his favorite places were Philpott Lake in Virginia and Buggs Island Lake in North Carolina. Those quiet moments on the water brought him happiness throughout his life.

In his final years, Danny found comfort and peace in his Christian faith. He loved his siblings and his family dearly and wished for them to have long, happy lives.

Danny was preceded in death by his two beloved sons, Tony Reynolds and David Reynolds, whom he missed tremendously throughout his life. In the end, he found peace in knowing that he would one day be reunited with those he loved and join them in Heaven.

At Danny’s request, his immediate family asks for privacy during this time of grieving. They also wish to honor his final wishes that no memorial service or “fuss” be made in his memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patrick County Animal Shelter in memory of Danny.

Danny will be remembered as a gentle soul who loved his family, cherished his companion Mary, adored his cat Daisy, found peace by the water, and ultimately found comfort in his faith.
