Dannie Wade Sawyers

Mr. Dannie Wade Sawyers, age 71, of Westfield, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born on April 5, 1955 in Patrick County to Reva Bowman Sawyers Thurston and the late Kenneth “Canus” Sawyers. Mr. Sawyers retired from Henredon-Shenandoah after 45 plus years of service. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Shelby Pack Sawyers; son, Eric Daniel Sawyers (Ashley); grandchildren, Hayley Marie Sawyers and Chase Daniel Sawyers. In addition to his father Mr. Sawyers was preceded in death by a brother, David Sawyers. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Brown Mountain Baptist Church with service conducted by Pastor Eddie Carter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
