Darlene Childress Crouse

Mrs. Darlene Childress Crouse, age 83, of Thurmond, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at her residence. She was born July 30, 1942, in Yadkin County, to the late Jessie Alonzo Childress and the late Martha Jane Edwards Childress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy Crouse; her sisters, Ina Toney, Vernice Cockerham, and Ruby Lee Smith; and her brothers, Arestus Childress, Willie Ray Childress, George Childress, and Talmage Childress.

Darlene, was a loving wife, sister, and aunt, who worked as a CNA at Hugh Chatham Health. A visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM, in the Moody-Davis Funeral Chapel. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Crouse family.
