Darra Paige West Jones

Mrs. Darra Paige West Jones, 63, of 196 Washington Avenue, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Jones was born December 14, 1951, in Surry County, to Gladys Lorene Boyd West and the late Wayne Cecil West. Paige owned and operated Keenan's Craft Shop for several years. She is survived by a daughter, Corie Jones of Dobson; two sons, Christopher Mosley and his wife, Clara Mosley, and Chad Jones and his fiancée, Lori Beasley, all of Mount Airy; three grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Brooklyn Mosley, and Madison Mosley, all of Mount Airy; her mother, Gladys Lorene Boyd West of Mount Airy; and a special friend, Phillip Reynolds of Mount Airy. In addition to her father, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by an infant brother. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Roger Mears officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Services, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
