David Monroe Lowe

Mr. David Monroe Lowe, age 69, of Dobson, passed away Sunday April 22, 2018, at his residence. He was born July 8, 1948 in Surry County to the late Theodore and Zella Lowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Lowe; his brothers, Clayton Lowe and Trealey Lowe. Mr. Lowe was retired and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty  Lowe; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Allen Holder; son, Marty Lowe and  daughter-in-law, Glenda Lowe; grandchildren, Blake and Stephanie Holder , Amanda and Clint Brendle and Kayla and Josh Lawson; great grandchildren, Peyton, Brooke and Sophie Holder; his brother Lawrence Lowe;  sisters and brother-in-law, Sue and Ray Southard and Greydell Johnson. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at New Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Woody Flippen and Reverend Joe Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
