David Eugene Wilburn

Mr. David Eugene “Dave” Wilburn, 75, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday evening, June 26, 2026, at Lotus Village Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sparta. Mr. Wilburn was born June 3, 1951, in Beckley, WV, and was the oldest of six children born to the late Willie Will Wilburn, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Heath Wilburn. Dave worked as a technician with ADT Security Services for many years and was a faithful member of Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Wilburn and her spouse, Alyssa; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Barbara and Brackie Reece, Brenda Ayers, Frankie and Mike Lane, and Ellen and Stanley Sechrist; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilburn was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Willie Will Wilburn, Jr. and Donna Wilburn. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens. No formal visitation will be held.
