Deborah Roxanne Raines Shelton

Mrs. Deborah Roxanne Raines Shelton, 68, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday evening, April 16, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Shelton was born January 11, 1955, in Surry County, one of three children born to the late Clyde and Agnes Hodge Raines.  Deborah was a homemaker and a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.  She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Adam and Jessica Shelton and Thomas Matthew Shelton; four grandchildren, Natalie Shelton Kennedy, Breanne Shelton, Ethan Shelton, and Elijah Shelton; a great-grandchild, Evelyn Kennedy; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Rebecca Raines.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Dale Shelton; and a sister, Jeanette Raines Shelton.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Rusty Reed officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
