Della Frances Vaughn Stanley

Mrs. Della Frances Vaughn Stanley 76 of 234 Lynda St. Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday June 6, 2012 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Stanley was born March 11, 1936 in Grayson County to the late Edgar and Thelma Snow Vaughn, she was retired from Stanley Kountry Kitchen Catering and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law Pam and Laine Chilton of Mt. Airy and Tina and Carl Whitaker of Mt. Airy, three grandchildren Meagan Chilton, Savannah Whitaker and Caleb Whitaker all of Mt. Airy, three sisters Lois Alderman, Mallie Roberts and Louvinia Sachs all of Galax, VA. and one brother James Vaughn of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Arlie Stanley, one sister Mabel Edmonds and by two brothers Kent Vaughn and Paul Vaughn. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Kevin Wilson and Rev. Bill Faw with burial to follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night 6 to 8 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
