Dennis Wade Barker

Mr. Dennis Wade Barker, age 66, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  He was born in Forsyth County on February 12, 1957, to the Late Richard Lee Barker and Thelma Howlett Barker.  Mr. Barker had worked for North Carolina Foam Industries Polyurethane  in Mt. Airy for 34 years before becoming disabled.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 33 years, Rebecca McGee Barker; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Wade and Becky Barker; niece, Mary Richardson; grandnephew, Dusty Eaton, great-grandnephew, Wyatt Eaton; great-grand nieces, Nora Eaton, and Vayda Eaton; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Lee and Susan McGee, and Raymond McGee.  In addition to his parents, Mr. barker was preceded in death by his sister and her spouse, Mary Ann and Buster Wood; mother and father -in-law,  Mary Ruth McGee, and Paul McGee Jr.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dobson, Windsor park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the James Monroe Hiatt Cemetery Fund.
