Dennis Jerome Younger

               Mr. Dennis Jerome Younger, age 63 of Elliston and formerly of Patrick County, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Danbury, NC on December 5, 1958, to the late Donald Lee Younger and Arlene Conner Younger.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Hairston; and a brother, James Younger.  Dennis was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to fish.  He attended Norfolk St. University.

               Surviving is his wife, Dorothea Smith Younger of Staunton; one son, Demetrius Younger of Staunton; two sisters, Gloria Barbour of Stuart, Mary Conner of Woolwine; three brothers, Ronald Younger of Bassett, William Younger of Elliston, Darryl Younger of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

               Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. LeRoy Wimbush officiating.  Burial will follow in the Conner Family Cemetery.  A wake will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.  Friends may also pay their respects at the home of his sister, Gloria Barbour, 6544 Fairystone Park Hwy, Stuart, VA.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
