Denny Lee Sizemore

Mr. Denny Lee Sizemore, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Carroll County, VA on November 23, 1942, to Hiram and Alma Jennings Sizemore. Mr. Sizemore retired from Pine State Knitwear, and was a member of Community Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Joyce Robinson Sizemore; his children, Ronald and Lesa Sizemore, Donald and Janet Sizemore, Timothy and Cherie Sizemore, Peggy and Charlie Newman; grandchildren, Amanda Brooks, Tomi Lynette and Christopher Leonard, Desiree Sizemore and fiancé Bryce Jessup, Kristy and Brian Sanders, Davey and Megan Sizemore, Jennifer and Dusty Combs, Traci Ayers and boyfriend Adam Lowe, Tiffani Johnson and fiancé R.J. Martin; several great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Betty Sizemore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jascha and Bob Brown, Ruth and John Quesenberry; Many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sizemore was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester, Roger, John Wayne and Jearleen Sizemore. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Quesinberry, the Rev. Jimmy Coleson, and the Rev. Michael Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church. Masks are required for all attendees to come into the church.
