Donald Claude Arnder

Mr. Donald Claude Arnder, 58, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday night, May 25, 2012. Mr. Arnder was born October 14, 1953, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Claude and Annie Hawks Arnder. He was the owner and operator of Eddie's Zip Foods and had a smile for everyone he came in contact with. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Bill Welborn of Prince George, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Ila Arnder of Ararat, VA; three nephews, Tully Welborn of Richmond, VA, Keith Arnder of Stuart, VA, and Shawn Arnder of Tennessee; and a special friend, Bennie Puckett of Ararat, VA. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Flat Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Cathy Turman officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foothills Food Pantry, 233 Cooper Street, Dobson, NC 27017.
