Donald Gray Underwood

Mr. Donald Gray Underwood Age 57 of 471 Big Oak Lane Lowgap, NC. passed away Wednesday August 22, 2012 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Underwood was born November 20, 1954 in Surry County to Louise Taylor Underwood and the late Donald Clifton "Cliff" Underwood, he was a superintendent for Salem Electric, was a member of Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF & AM and was a member of Pinnacle Church of God. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law Nikki Underwood and boyfriend Brandon Lovill of Mt. Airy and Samantha and Nick Starkey of Mt. Airy, one son and daughter-in-law Jason and Millie Beard of Elkin, seven grandchildren Melanie Monday, Makkhi Monday, Seth Starkey, Tyler Starkey, Ryan Starkey, Katie Beard and Isaac Beard, his mother Louise Taylor Underwood of Mt. Airy, one sister and brother-in-law Sheila and Bobby Kendrick of Roanoke, three brothers and sisters-in-law Allen and Brenda Underwood of Pilot Mountain, Doug and Andrea Underwood of Clemmons and Mark and Claudette Underwood of Walkertown and his girlfriend Janie Grubb of Kernersville. In addition to his father Mr. Underwood was preceded in death by his wife Susie Underwood. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Ruby Davis with burial to follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday night 6 to 8 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
