Donna Gail Lawson

Mrs. Donna Gail Adkins Lawson, age 58 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at her home. She was born on January 23, 1968 in Martinsville, VA to the late Charlie Raymond Adkins and Peggy Goard Fleeman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmanuel Terry Lawson.

Donna was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. Donna was a lover of photography and enjoyed snapping photos of natural scenery as she traveled, collecting many beautiful photos along the way. She would often take pictures as she accompanied her late husband, Terry, on his work travels and when they spent time together hunting. She was generous with her time and heart when it came to family and friends. She maintained close relationships with parents, siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna also had a special bond with her in-laws, the Lawson family. She loved them all dearly, as evidenced in her glowing remarks about their good character and love of family. Donna was the godmother of Autumn Bolt née Lawson. Her warm, caring nature will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her brothers, Jimmy Lawson (Janet) of Patrick County Virginia, Odell Lawson (Penny) of Patrick County Virginia, Lee Lawson (Lisa) of Patrick County Virginia, Johnny Lawson (Stephanie) of Patrick County Virginia, Ronnie Lawson (Tammy) of Patrick County Virginia, Garland Lawson (Jenny) of Patrick County Virginia, and Freddie Parker (Mary) of Tennessee; sisters, Nancy Sue Spencer of Cana Virginia, Amanda Chavez of Patrick County Virginia, and Arlene Bullins of Patrick County Virginia; nephews, Jimmy Spencer (Natalie) and Andreas Mota; a niece, Samantha Mota; and many more aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
