Donna Bowers Rakes

Mrs. Donna Bowers Rakes, 56, of Woolwine, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at

Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Henry County on April 18, 1961 to the late
Lenwood Lee and Bessie Wood Bowers. In addition to her parents, Donna was also preceded
in death by two sisters; Brenda B. Puckett and Jeannie B. Frisco. Donna was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Donna is survived by her husband, Dale Rakes of the home; three sons, Steven and Jessica Rakes, Jessie
Rakes and Jason and Chessie Rakes all of Woolwine, Six grandchildren; Brittany, Destiny, Madison, Nathan, Christian and Braxton Rakes, two brothers and sisters-in-law; L. Dwayne and Karen Bowers of Stuart and Tim and Annette Bowers also of Stuart and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at later date .
