Donna Lou Rigney

Mrs. Donna Lou Rigney, age 66, of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  She was born in Forsyth County on January 18, 1954 to Mary Lou Cockerham Rigney and the late Matthew Rigney.  Mrs. Rigney was a retired Registered Nurse and was retired from Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mary Lou Cockerham Rigney; daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Nathan Strom, Susie and Danny Poindexter; grandchildren, Kristen King, Seth King, Matthew and Krysta Coins, Adam Coins and fiancé McKenzie Wood; great-grandchildren, Ryan King, Deacon Coins; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Steve Austin; brother and sister-in-law, David and Gail Rigney; devoted friend, Lyrine Bowman.  Mrs. Rigney was preceded in death by her father, Matthew Rigney.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM. at Oak Grove Church in Mt. Airy.
