Dorothy Mae Goad Boyd

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Goad Boyd, age 98 of Asheboro, NC, passed away peacefully at North Point of Archdale on Tuesday afternoon March 5, 2024.  She was born August 4, 1925, in Surry County to the late William Henry “Jim” Goard and Myrtle Wilson Goard.  She is survived by several family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her only sister, Dora Lee Goard Barker; and by six brothers, Robert “Bob” Goad, Roy Reed Goad, William Mebane Goad, Clarence Junior “Red” Goad, Walter Goard, and Edgar Goard.  There are no formal services scheduled at this time.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
