Dorothy Ira Clark Bare

Dorothy Ira Clark Bare, 92, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away July 8, 2026. Born in Avery County to the late Myron Luther and Vickie Townsend Clark. Dorothy touched so many lives during her time here. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary Bare, and Brian Bare; grandchildren, Melissa Knox, and Bradley Bare; great grandchildren, Christian and Emily Husted, Hannah and Nathaniel Boyce, and Zack Knox; and great-great grandchildren, Dakota Husted, Mavis Husted, Will Boyce, and Asa Boyce. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Claude Bare; sisters, Omalee Yates, Daisy Snipes, and Cora Lee Cook; and brothers, Ira Clark, Curtis Clark, and Arthur Clark. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Salem Fork Christian Church, with Rev. Austin Caviness officiating. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Bare family.
