Douglas Gray Harrell

Mr. Douglas Gray Harrell, 74, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation in Mt. Airy.  He was born in Forsyth County on April 19, 1948, to the late Leo and Marie Cobbler Harrell.  Mr. Harrell proudly served our country in the United States Army.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be deeply missed.  Mr. Harrell was a driver for Sealtest Dairy.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Hinshaw Harrell; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Crystal Harrell; a step daughter, Lisa Flake; grandchildren, Nathan and Kiera Harrell, Ryan and Nicole Harrell; great grandchildren, Valor Harrell, Barrett Harrell, Roman Harrell; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and David Rierson; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Kathy Harrell; many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Moody Funeral Services in Mt.
