Dr. Harold William Parker

Dr. Harold William Parker, of Pinnacle, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2015. Dr. Parker was born in Rockingham County to James Burly and Sally Dove Parker. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. He attended Piedmont Bible College, Fruitland Bible College and had an honorary doctorate from Dothan Bible College. Dr. Parker pastored and evangelized for the Gospel of Jesus Christ for sixty five years. Surviving is his devoted wife, Vivian King Parker; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Thomas Reed and Trudy and Sam Mason; a son and daughter-in-law, Harold Lane and Sherrie Parker; a step daughter, Joyce Ray and husband Wayne; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. J. B. and Barbara Parker. In addition to his parents, Dr. Parker was preceded in death by his first wife, Allene Shotwell Parker; a son, Donald William Parker; sisters, Mildred Willis and Hazel Sheets and brothers, Reather Parker, Herman Parker and Ralph Parker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tim Gammons and Rev. Larry Stone. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro with full military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
