Dr. Joseph "Joe" Price Schneider

Dr. Joseph Price Schneider passed away May 11 after a brief illness. He was born March 14, 1966, in Kansas City, MO to Beverly and Terry Schneider. Joe loved life and discovering new things. He took Suzuki violin lessons in grade school which helped him develop a love for music. He was an original and founding member of the Lexington, KY band known as Thumper and The Plaid Rabbits. He graduated from Lexington Tates Creek High School. He was a member of the KA Fraternity and received an undergraduate degree and a dental degree from the University of Kentucky. He did internships in Jackson, MS, Hartford, CT, and Williamsburg, VA. He practiced dentistry for over 30 years and 28 of those years at the Cana Dental Center. He is survived by his parents; his brother Ryan and a niece and nephews – Anabeth, Johnson, Cade, and Riley; loving cousins; a devoted friend, Melody White; and the Caleb France family. The Schneider family cannot begin to express the love and appreciation we have for his dental staff, friends, patients, and caregivers. Thank You. Visitation will be TBD followed by a funeral mass at Holy Angels Catholic Church at TBD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC, 27030 or to St. Judes Children’s Hospitals, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
