Earl Robert "Bob" Cunningham

Born in Ellsworth, Kansas, Earl Robert “Bob” Cunningham was a man who dedicated his life to his country, his family, and his community. Bob passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2026, at Stuart Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

A proud veteran, Bob served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, carrying the values of discipline and service with him throughout his life. After his military service, Bob was a true jack-of-all-trades, working countless jobs over the years. His hard-working nature led him to a decades-long career at what is now known as Stuart Community Hospital, where his dedication left a lasting impact on those around him.

Outside of work, Bob was incredibly resourceful and loved working with his hands. He was an avid hobbyist who took great pride in carpentry and spent hours working on his beloved ’69 MG. Whether fixing something around the house or helping others, he truly embodied the spirit of a craftsman.

Bob’s greatest joy, however, was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Claudia; his five children; and 14 cherished grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of hard work and love. He is also survived by his brothers, Larry and Roger; and his sister, Jo.

Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many lives he touched throughout his meaningful journey.
