Edith Jones Harrell Martin

Mrs. Edith Jones Harrell Martin, age 85 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Martin was born in Surry County on March 20, 1927 to McKinley and Frances Clement Jones. She was retired from Renfro Corp and was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church. Surviving is a brother, Winfred Jones of Lowgap and a special nephew and his family, Dennis Jones and wife Michelle and their children Colby, Cameron and Carly of Kernersville, a nephew Manfred Jones of Mt. Airy, a special niece Eleanor Faye Meredith of San Antonio TX and a sister-in-law Edith Jones of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Ralph Harrell and her second husband, Rev. Raymond C. Martin; and brothers, Ed Jones and Otis Jones. Graveside services will be held at Thursday March 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Skyline Memory Gardens with services conducted by Rev. Elmo Hiatt. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until time for the graveside service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Kate B.
