Mrs. Edna Lucille "Peachie" Peake Eller, 83, of Durham, passed away Mother's Day, May 11, 2014, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham. Mrs. Eller was born September 23, 1930, in Bristol, VA, the daughter of the late Isaac and Esther Freeman Peake. Edna worked as a seamstress at Durham Drapery for many years. She is survived by five daughters and three sons-in-law, Victoria Rodriguez of Roanoke, VA, Karen Hunt and Patricia and Frank McKenna, all of Durham, Cathy and Jim Farmer of Graham, and Connie and Olyn Burrow of Walnut Cove; thirty grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Charles and Nancy Peake of Hampstead, MD, and Betty Peake of Atkins, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eller was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Henry Eller; a son, Ralph David Eller; two sisters, Rebecca Mercer and Carol Atwood; and a brother, Kenneth Peake. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 278 Piney Grove Road, Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Mark A. Reece, Jr., and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
