Edward Douglas "Buck" Gordon

Mr. Edward Douglas "Buck" Gordon Age 80 of 1339 Sparger Rd. Mt. Airy passed away Thursday August 2, 2012 at his home. Mr. Gordon was born August 6, 1931 in Surry County to the late Tommie and Minnie Chappell Gordon, he was retired from Yellow Freight Lines (formally McLean Trucking) and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Aleene Bateman Gordon of the home, one daughter Donna Gordon Hampton of Winston Salem, one son Brent Gordon of Winston Salem, one sister Trick Beamer of Greensboro and one brother Gladstone Gordon of Dobson. In addition to his parents Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Hatcher and by a brother Fred Gordon. A memorial service will be held Monday August 6, 2012 at 8:00 P.M. at Antioch Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Dale Wallace. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 P.M. at Antioch Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 137 Antioch Ave. Mt. Airy, NC. 27030.
