Edward Glenn "Ed" Laws, Jr

Mr. Edward Glenn "Ed" Laws, Jr., 34, of Dobson, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 7, 2008. He was employed as a pipe layer for Landform Construction and McDonalds, Rockford Street branch in Mount Airy. He is survived by his father Edward Glenn Laws, Sr. and fiance, Janet Burkhart of Dobson; two sons, Dakota and Andrew Laws; four sisters Tina Jenkins of Winston-Salem, Melissa Shores of Eden, Christy Laws and fiance Omar Cinnerios and Sandy Laws and fiance Timothy Greenwood, all of Mount Airy; his maternal grandmother, Virginia Laws of Dobson; several nieces nephews and friends. Mr. Laws was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Goings Laws; a brother Charles Goings and his paternal grandfather Rev. Robert P. "Bob" Laws. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 11, 2008 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by Rev. Junior Whitaker and Rev. Woody Flippin with burial to follow in Maple Springs Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday December 10, 2008 at Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
