Elbert McNeil "Neil" Fulcher, 78, passed peacefully on July 13, 2026 surrounded by his family after struggling with a lengthy recuperation from surgery. He was born in Patrick Springs, VA, on December 5, 1947 to the late Elbert C. Fulcher and Christine Martin Fulcher.
He lived in the Patrick Springs community his entire life and attended Hardin Reynolds Memorial School where he graduated in 1966. He then attended Danville Community College where he earned certifications in the electronics, refrigeration and radiological monitoring programs.
He opened Home Appliance and TV in 1973 and operated it until his retirement in 2015.
He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, and in recent years he had enjoyed worshiping at Patrick Springs Christian Church.
He cherished spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren brought him such joy. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and woodworking projects. He was well known by many as the walnut man as he generously gave many pounds to others each year.
Left with cherished memories are his wife of 45 years, Ann Adams Fulcher; daughters Jen Moran Pack and Tim Hunter, and Julie Moran Feaster and Craig; grandchildren, Madeline and Taylor Lynch, Emelia Pack, Isabella Pack, Sophia Pack, Camille Pack, Cody Feaster and Braden Feaster; his sister, Gayle and Bruce Dollarhite, and nephews Kevin and Julia Dollarhite and Christopher and Sara Dollarhite.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, July 17,2026 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Dr. Joey McNeil and Buck Hanks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart VA on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Gideons International (PO Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214-0800) or to the Patrick Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
