She worked as a housekeeper at Pocono Hospital in East Stroudsburg, PA for almost 25 years before retiring and moving with her daughter to California in 1996, where she shared her cheerful smile, artistic talents, and her delicious home cooking, especially her signature apple pies, with Sara’s students and colleagues in a variety of K-12 classrooms. Per Betty’s wishes, a private service will be held by her children at a later time and place. Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Gaston family.
