Elizabeth Geraldine "Dink" Cain Richardson

Mrs. Elizabeth Geraldine “Dink” Cain Richardson, 90, of Lowgap, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA.  She was born April 16, 1931, in Surry County, to the late Floyd and Pearlie Sutphin Cain.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Richard Richardson and his wife, Delilah, Sue Walker and her husband, Clayton, and Danny Richardson and his wife, Mary; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kirby and her husband, Ricky, Aleah Lundy and her husband, Wes, and Dusty Eaton and his wife, Chelsey; six great-grandchildren, Haela Lundy, Candice Newman, Dakota Butcher, Wyatt Eaton, Shelley Anders, and Nora Eaton; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lannie Lowe.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Aster Edward Richardson; four sisters, Estell Barker, Peggy Marion, Hilda Dean, and Runell Hicks; and seven brothers, Leonard, Larn Elwood, Delmer, Pete, Gary and Aldie Cain.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Round Peak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating.  There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Round Peak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Doug Barker, 1008 Round Peak Church Road, Mount Airy NC  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
