Ellen Sue King

Ms. Ellen Sue Osbourn King, 73, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Galax, VA, on July 19, 1948, to the late Charles Lester and Ethel Marie Snow Osbourn. Ms. King was employed at Central Continuing Care for 21 years. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn Emerson and Shawn, Pamela Puckett and Claude; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary Cecil King, Jr. and Jenna; grandchildren, Danielle Emerson, Austin Emerson, Kasey Puckett, Heather Whitaker (Cody), Lillian King, Owen King; great grandchildren, Emory Puckett, Paxton McDaniel; a brother-in-law, Gordon Wingfield. In addition to her parents Ms. King was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberlee Wingfield. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
