Emma Navarrette Casstevens

Mrs. Emma Navarrette Casstevens, age 63, of Boonville, NC passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2014, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Midland Co. Texas on October 23, 1950 to Librado Navarrette Sr. and the late Tomasa Menchaca Navarrette. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Thamo, and Anita Espinosa; one brother Lee Navarrette Jr. She was a member of the Dobson Church of God. Surviving are her husband Marshall Franklin Casstevens of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Rachel Bealshire and her husband Jared Beal of Maine; two sons and daughter-in-law
George Shropshire Jr. and Misti Burchette of NC; Robert Shropshire of NC; four step sons Jacob, Samuel, Nathan, and Joshua Casstevens; nine grandchildren Brittany, Kayla, Dylan, Owyn, Logan, Linkin, Myles, Rose, Landon; seven sisters and two brothers-in-law Alicia Bales of IN. Elia Baltes of Ga., Lydia and Donald Gunter of IN., Helen and Dennis France of NC, Irene Navarrette of IN., Ruth Razo of NC, Joy Navarrette of IN.; two brothers and sister-in-law David Sr. and Peggy Navarrette of NE, Daniel Navarrette of NE, Bobby Navarrette of CO; Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday August 29, 2014 at the Dobson Church of God with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Homer Lowdermilk will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Howard and Joan Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC 27017.
