Eric Ryan Moats

Eric Ryan Moats, 53, of Dobson, North Carolina, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025. Born June 3, 1971, to Lester Rogers Moats and Teresa Mole Draughn. Eric was a loving son, father, brother, friend, and devoted Christian. Eric was a graduate from Surry Central High School and Surry Community College. Along with his parents, left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law, Dylan Moats and Amber, and Ethan Moats and Holly Whitaker; step father, Ricky Draughn; step mother, Vicki Moats; sisters, Robin Narehood and Charla Miller; brother and sister-in-law, Brently Moats and Nadia; nieces and nephew, Jasmine Narehood, Nathan Narehood, Sophie Narehood, Marissa Miller, and Ivy Miller; aunts and uncles, Donna Moats, John and Gail Mole, Ginger and Joel Hardy, and Marty and Tammy Branch. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Dobson First Baptist Church. A Celebration of his life will follow at 3:30 PM in the church.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Moats family.
