Erica Zuguey Martinez

God has gained a beautiful young angel. Spread your wings and fly. Miss Erica Zuguey Martinez, age 24, was born on November 8, 2000, passed away on May 18, 2025, at her home unexpectedly. Erica never met a stranger. She always wanted to try new things. Erica, her twin sister, and their little tag along brother, loved anime and going to anime cons anywhere their mom would take them. Erica also loved collecting dolls. This year she finally got to plant her marigolds that she had been wanting for years. She was also excited about seeing her sunflowers growing. Erica loved spending time with her “Granny and Papa” yard selling and especially fishing at the beach off the pier. Erica is survived by her mother, Bobbie Jo Flippin Martinez (Andres) her father, Jose Martinez (Ana); her partner in crime and twin sister, Eva Martinez Sexton (Chris); her little, not so little brother whom she thought the world of, Leeland Martinez. Erica is also survived by her granny and papa, Junior, and Lois Flippin; her K-9 friend, Millie Mae, and a special aunt, “Nanny” Linda Beasley. She is also survived by other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any EPILEY research of your choice. “NO MATTER WHERE- NO MATTER WHAT- I WILL BE THERE. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Woodland Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Pete King. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM ~ 4:00 PM at the church.
