Erna Welden

Mrs. Erna Weiss Welden, age 93, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 20119 at Northern Hospital of  Surry County. She was born, October 8, 1925, in the Czech Republic to the late Rudolf and Marie Schuster Weiss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, her first husband, Jeff Caylor, her last husband, J.W. Welden; sister, Anna and her brother, Rudolf "Ruddy". She is survived by two brothers, Herwig and Otto, and many other friends. Mrs. Welden attended Ladonia Baptist Church and was retired from retail management. Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2019, from 1-2 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Reverend Tony Holder officiating. There will be a graveside service 3:00 Saturday, April 27, 2019, in the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Maryville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organization of the giver’s choice.
